Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under CSIR’s JRF-GATE scheme: One

Qualifications:

B. Pharmacy with GPAT qualified

Or      

B. Tech. in Biotechnology with valid GATE score with minimum 85 percentile in GATE

 

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 + HRA per month as per the rules

Age:  

The upper age limit is 28 years as on 28/01/2019 which is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled caste / Scheduled tribes / OBC / woman / physically handicapped applicants as per CSIR rules.

Job requirements:

The selected candidate has an opportunity to be registered for Ph. D. program upon fulfiling required criterion. The duration of the fellowship is maximum five years as per CSIR-HRDG guidelines.

The position is purely temporary and maximum duration of fellowship is 5 years. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR. No TA/DA will be given to attend the interview.

The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years which is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, OBC, woman and physically handicapped applicants as per rules.

Job requirements:

The selected candidate will work on the project entitled “Antitubercular metabolites from endophytic microorganisms of Salicornia brachiata” and has an opportunity to be registered for Ph. D. program upon fulfiling required criterion. Candidates having hands on experience with microbial culture, chromatographic isolation, and structure elucidation will be preffered. Selected candidate is expected to isolate and identify pure endophytic microorganisms, culture them in laboratory, perform bioactivity assay, and isolate & determine structures of bioactive secondary metabolites.

Post: Project Assistant (PA-II): One

Qualifications:

M. Pharmacy / M. S. (Natural Products / Pharmacognosy / Phytochemistry)      

Or      

M. Sc. (Chemistry / Microbiology) with at least 55% marks

 

Fellowship: Consolidated Rs. 25000 per month

Age:  

The upper age limit is 30 years as on 30/07/2018 which is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, OBC, woman and physically handicapped applicants as per CSIR rules.

Job requirements:

The selected candidate will work on the DST-SERB funded project entitled “Studies on macrolide antibiotics: Application of genetic approaches for drug discovery” and has an opportunity to be registered for Ph. D. program upon fulfiling required criterion. Selected candidate is expected to prepare microbial extracts, carry out bioassay-guided fractionation to isolate pure compounds employing chromatographic methods & determine their structures using advanced NMR and MS techniques.
